Extension - ATTIC - Stage 3. The Costs

The small project of extending the installation onto the attic was a chance to review the costs of 'intelligent' house components.  Here is how much it all costed:

  1. Junction cabinet 96mod U42 - EUR 150
  2. 2x DO 750-1504 (used) - EUR 55 x 2 = EUR 110
  3. 2x DI 750-1405 (used)  - EUR 50 x 2 = EUR 100
  4. 2x FTP 5e 305m - EUR 35/roll = EUR 70
  5. 15x LSA module - EUR 1.1 x 15 = EUR 16.5
  6. 1x LSA base for 10 modules - EUR 4.1
  7. 1x GLSA base for 10 modules - EUR 2
  8. YDY 3x1.5 100m  - EUR 36
  9. YDY 3x2.5 100m - EUR 55
  10. YDY 4x1.5 100m - EUR 51
  11. 8x 1P B 16A iC60N protection - EUR 2.2 x 8 = EUR 18
  12. 6x 1P B 10A iC60N protection  - EUR 2.5 x 6 = EUR 15
  13. 2x 2P 25A AC iID protection - EUR 21.1 x 2 = EUR 42
  14. 24x WAGO Relay 788-304 - EUR 5.5 x 24 = EUR 130

Some comments:

The UTP wire, despite the price, ended up being grate.  It is not 100% copper, but for what I need - it is great.  The wires were wrapped in a cellophane foil and an alu foil there is an additional wire for strengthening it all.

The DI/DO modules were used (from local ebay), but they work great.

What are the costs of extending the 'intelligent' system?

The cabinet costed EUR 150.  In a traditional installation a EUR 50 unit would suffice.

The modules and UTP costed some 300 EUR.  The relays EUR 130.  If one started from scratch, a PLC would be needed.  So a total of 1000 - 1200 EUR would be the total cost.
