A system without visualization will work.  The wall switches allow to control the most important functions.  The attractiveness of an ‘intelligent’ installation lays however in the possibility of parameterizing and executing complex functions of the house.  Timers, sensors, cascades of events – all requires a dedicated access in a form adjusted to the knowledge of the future users.

Consequently, to enjoy using of the system, it is necessary to build an easy, transparent and esthetically attractive interface.  I will try to describe different ways of controlling the installation using the functions of my PLC.
